The first international break of the 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Super League season is here, and West Ham United have 13 first-team players that could be in action for their respective nations over the next seven days.
With a mixture of UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualifying play-off matches and friendly fixtures, it’s set to be another exciting window of international action across the globe.

Who has been called up?
Starting in Europe in UEFA Euro 2025 qualifying, in path one, goalkeeper Kinga Szemik will be hoping to help Poland come out on top in their two legged tie against Romania in their quest to qualify for their first ever major tournament.
Amber Tysiak and Belgium face Greece as they look to qualify for Euro 2025. After reaching the quarter-finals of Euro 2022, Tysiak and co will be hoping to advance against a Greece side that finished qualifying unbeaten.
Oona Siren joins up with Finland for the first time since signing on the dotted line in east London. Finland face Montenegro in their two matches over the next week, and are looking for their first win in international action since April.
Jessie Stapleton will link up with the Republic of Ireland for their two fixtures against Georgia. Stapleton has impressed on loan at Championship side Sunderland and will hope to gain minutes for the Girls in Green in this international break.
Moving onto path two, and after making her international debut for Turkey in July, Halle Houssein will be hoping to add to her two caps for Turkey when they face Ukraine in their play-off fixture.
Kirsty Smith has overcome a shoulder injury as this international window has reared into view, and the defender will be aiming to help Scotland overcome Hungary in their play-off match during the break.
Moving away from competitive action, Katrina Gorry and Australia are also in action in Europe, where they will face tough friendly tests in Switzerland and Germany. This will be their first matches since the departure of long-serving manager Tony Gustavsson, with interim head coach Tom Sermanni taking charge of the Matildas for the third time in his career.
Canada are also choosing to base themselves in Europe during the break, with Shelina Zadorsky facing Spain in a friendly fixture in Almendralejo.
In Asia, Riko Ueki and Japan will face South Korea in a friendly match in Tokyo. The forward will be hoping to add to the 36 caps and 12 goals she has for her country in the clash.
Li Mengwen and China are playing two friendly matches on home soil. Chongqing will host matches against Uzbekistan and Vietnam next week.
Manuela Paví has joined up with Colombia as they face Brazil in two friendly fixtures. The national team are meeting up for the first time since impressing at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
In the England youth age groups, Anouk Denton has been selected by England U23s for their two friendly fixtures against the Netherlands and Portugal.
Princess Ademiluyi, on loan at Charlton for 2024/25, has been selected in England U19s manager Lauren Smith’s first squad since taking charge. The Young Lionesses will face the Netherlands and Norway in the Algarve Cup in Portugal.

Aside from Scotland’s double header against Hungary, which will be shown on BBC Alba, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website, UK coverage of international matches involving West Ham players is limited.
