West Ham United agree to sign Josh Landers

West Ham United is delighted to confirm that 17-year-old striker Josh Landers has agreed to join the Club’s U21 development squad from Scottish Premiership side Hibernian.

Pending international clearance, Landers will team up with the Academy following a successful trial period at Rush Green Training Ground with Mark Robson’s side.

A Scotland youth international, Landers has been a regular goalscorer through the age groups since joining Hibernian’s academy at ten years old. At just 14, he netted his first goal for Hibernian U18s and later featured in their 2022/23 UEFA Youth League campaign. Having signed his first professional contract with the Scottish Premiership side in summer 2023, he made his senior debut in the Scottish League Cup semi-final against Aberdeen at Hampden Park in November of the same year.

Innerleithen-born Landers now begins the next stage of his development in Claret and Blue, linking up with the U21s as they continue their Premier League 2 campaign.

Everyone at West Ham United would like to welcome Josh to east London and wish him a successful career with the Irons.
