West Ham United gave the Claret and Blue Army a festive present with three points on the road at Southampton on Boxing Day.
Jarrod Bowen scored the only goal on the hour, extending his side's unbeaten run to four games in the process.
West Ham moved onto 23 points with the win, bringing them into range of the top half of the table as the halfway mark of the campaign approaches.
