West Ham United recovered from the blow of falling behind early to claim a well-deserved point at Aston Villa on Sunday.
The Irons were rocked by a fast start from the home side and Jacob Ramsey fired them into a eighth minute lead, bursting onto Ollie Watkins' pass inside the box and finishing unerringly across Alphonse Areola.
West Ham worked their way into the contest, with Lucas Paquetá and Mohammed Kudus causing the hosts problems in defence.
And their reward came 20 minutes from the end when Edson Álvarez swung over a cross from the right and Emerson snuck in at the far post to thump a header home.
The visitors continued to push and looked the more likely winners, with Paquetá's effort in the final seconds being ruled out for offside against Tomáš Souček.
